This collaborative project was a commissioned title sequence for a film major student at SCAD. The film itself, shot on 16mm film, follows Yoyo, a mute boy living in a small seaside town, making a living by catching crabs. During a group therapy session, he meets a girl named Aliana, an encounter that stirs a quiet transformation in his life. The film explores the fluid boundary between reality and dreams. The biggest challenge of this project was the tight timeline—I had less than two weeks to complete the entire piece.

Concept DevelopmentThe film explores the fluid boundary between reality and dreams. For the title sequence, I wanted to visually reflect these themes. Water became the central motif based on the flim, representing fluidity, transformation, and the blurring of reality and illusion. The design incorporates aquatic plants, reflections, ripples, birds, and fish, creating a dreamlike and immersive atmosphere.

Sketches& ColorTo establish a cohesive atmosphere, I selected a palette dominated by cool tones—soft blues and muted greens—to evoke a tranquil, dreamlike quality. These colors reflect the serenity of water, while subtle orange and warm yellow accents introduce contrast and visual interest.
